About EarthJOY
A Place Where Time Stands Still
We dreamed of creating a space where time slows down—where you can play, explore, and feel a deep sense of wonder. A safe, quiet sanctuary that invites you out of your head and into your heart. Welcome to EarthJOY.
Our Story
EarthJOY began in 2007 as a tree climbing company—growing one rope at a time. At the time, we were both working full-time jobs—Bill as an Electrical Engineer and me as a Licensed Physical Therapist.
In 2015, with my dad’s blessing, we built our very first magical treehouse on my family’s 200-acre property. His deep love for nature was passed down to us, along with the responsibility to care for the land. That pivotal moment sparked our transition from day jobs to dedicating ourselves fully to EarthJOY.
Since then, EarthJOY has expanded—now offering three enchanting treehouses, a tiny home, and 85 additional acres of wild Kentucky land. We’ve built over 20 miles of themed hiking trails to inspire adventure and connection with nature.
What We Offer
At EarthJOY, you don’t just stay in a treehouse—you experience glorified glamping with unique amenities.
Treehouses: Rustic and cozy, designed for comfort and play. Hammocks, fire pits, and gathering spaces bring nature close while still offering the essentials you need.
Bathrooms: There are no bathrooms inside the treehouses. Each treehouse has a composting toilet just a three-second walk away. For showers and full bathrooms, our shared bathhouse is a 5–10 minute walk along the trails.
Gathering Spaces: The bathhouse sits beside our open-air pavilion, where guests can enjoy games, a nature library, and (coming soon) a comfy outdoor seating area—perfect for connection or quiet relaxation.
In addition to overnight stays, we host retreats, guided tree climbs, forest therapy walks, and team-bonding experiences. To date, more than 100,000 climbers and guests have joined us—each finding their own connection to the trees, the land, and themselves.
Our Heart
We love what we do, and we invite you to slow down and reconnect here. Though our land spans 285 acres, it holds an energy reminiscent of the healing tree in Avatar—full of light, wonder, and love.
We wonder… what will it feel like for you?
What would it be like to wander, to be present, and to let the trees heal you?
Come find out.
